Show Changes Made in Parowan Stake High Council During Conference In the Sunday morning general gen-eral session of the Parowan Stake quarterly conference, a reorganization of the stake high council was effected, at which time five members of that body were released and five new members sustained in their place. Released from that body, with a vote of thanks from members of the Stake in attendance at-tendance were J. Leonard Topham, Top-ham, senior member in terms of years served on the council; coun-cil; F. C. Van Buren, Joseph E. Ward, Ancel J. Adams and Harley W. Dalton. Mr. Topham Top-ham has been a member of the council since the Parowan Stake was divided over 18 years ago. Sustained as the new members mem-bers of the high council were Ivan Dalley, Robert S. Potter. H. Marvin Graff, Gordon W. FarnsTrorth and Newel F. Wisii?!X All of these men are at'tiw fa the LDS Church in Parowaa Stake and have held poHirinna of responsibility in' ward and stake organizations' ! in past years. Releases were given to two members of the Stake MIA board at the same time. Dee Wilcken was released as the stake music directer and Mrs. Beverly Harris was released as stake Laurel leader. Sustained as MIA music director di-rector was Frankie Lou Bent-ley, Bent-ley, and as Laurel leader, Gret-ta Gret-ta Wood, with Joan Wasden sustained as sports and camping camp-ing director. The sessions were well attended and heard talks fom the department heads from Salt Lake City, Finn B. Paulson Paul-son of the Missionary Committee, Com-mittee, Owen S. Rich of the YMMIA and H. Lynn Warner of the YWMIA general boards. Special music was furnished by a 60- voice stake youth chorus, directed by Frankie Lou Bentley and accompanied by Vyonne Chambelain, in the morning session, and by the Enoch Ward Choir directed by Mrs. Elaine Nelson and accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Maureen Grim-shaw, Grim-shaw, in the afternoon. |
