Dwayne Matheson, left, goes over some details with his replacement at the Iron County Coun-ty School District, Clarence Corbridge. Matheson Retires from School Position On June 1 a change in the transportation supervisor at the Iron County School District Dis-trict was made. The change resulted from the retirement of Dwayne Matheson after 19 years of service in the district. Assuming the position was Clarence C. Corbridge. Matheson recalls that when he joined the maintenance crew of the district in July, 1948, they had a total of seven buses and one truck. Upon his retirement the district was maintaining a fleet of 36 vehicles. No immediate plans have been made by Matheson for his future, although he expects ex-pects to meet a number of maintenance projects at his own home in Cedar City. Corbridge is a native of Minersville, but has been in Cedar City for nearly 15 years where he has been employed with Bradshaw Chevrolet Co. as a mechanic. He is married mar-ried to the former Helen Loft-house, Loft-house, and they have six children chil-dren including Janet, Kathleen, Kath-leen, Michael, Deborah, Clar-ica, Clar-ica, and Christine. |
