Show State Savings Bond Sales Continue High During April Savings Bonds sales in Utah for April rose above the $2 million mark for the fourth consecutive month and showed show-ed a 14 percent increase over last year. Sales figures received re-ceived here this week by County Chairman Francis W. Betenson, manager, First Security Sec-urity Bank at Cedar City, gave last month's total as $2,214,591 compared with $1,968,808 in April 1966. For the four months of 1967, the state's sales were $8,980,649, making the total for both April and the year to date the highest in 21 years. "Sales reported for Iron County in April were $6,455, which brings the January-April January-April total to $21,191," Chairman Chair-man Betenson stated. "Savings Bonds volunteers and the bankers of the state are looking forward with interest in-terest to our sales report for the next few months, because of the appearance on May 1 of the new Freedom Shares," said Mr. Betenson. |
