Show I Summer Music Glass Schedule i The Summer music school for the students of Parowan Elementary and High schools will commence next Monday, June 5, it is announced by Ro bert Potter, instructor. The following fol-lowing schedule has been set up so as to avoid as much as possible, conflicts with Primary, Pri-mary, MIA, Little League, 4-H, and swimming instruction: I TIME Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thurday Friday ' Beginners 8 a. m. Beginning Beginning All Beginning Make-up or Woodwind! Brass Beginners Drums Spec. Help Strings 5 a. m. Advanced Beginning Advanced Beginning Make-up or Strings Strings Strings Strings Spec. Help 10 a. m to 3 p m. Some weeks Mr. Potter will be teaching at the College of Southern Utah at a Band and Chorus Clinic. Intermediate 4 p. m. Intermediatelntermediate All Intermediate Make-up or Woodwinds Brass Intermediate Drums Spec. Help 6 p. m. Advanced Advanced to 7:30 Band Band available. Some is better than none. Should there be any ques-: ques-: tion, refer them to Mr. Potter at 477-3352. I All classes will be held in the music room of the Paro-jwan Paro-jwan Elementary School. The summer music program will run for eight weeks ending end-ing on July 28. Plans are being be-ing made for the Advanced band to make its yearly trip to Salt Lake City, with free rides at Lagoon, for the Days of '47 Parade. Students with no previous experience are to register for the beginning classes. Those who have had some instrumental instru-mental experience and who are not rank beginners, should register for the intermediate classes. Music students who will be in the 9th through 12th grades next fall should register for the advanced classes clas-ses except in the case of a high school student who wishes wish-es to learn a new or additional addition-al instrument. Anyone in this category should register for the beginning and intermediate classes until he is proficient enough on his instrument to transfer to the advanced group. Students may register the' first time they attend class. Registration fee will be $1.00. i Students wishing to rent school owned instruments may do so, for a small rental fee for the summer. i All parents are urged to encourage en-courage their children to take advantage of this opportuni-! ty to participate in a music' program ' during the summer, ! In the past it has often been noted that students attending summer band have made up to a full year's progress on their instruments when stud-1 les and other activities are not competing for their interest. inter-est.
