Show AT COURT OF HONOR Three Scouts Win Eagle Rank ! dar Breaks District, Boy Scouts of America. Receiving the rank were Lewis Kunz, and Jimmy Lunt, both of Troop 379, and Robert Three Cedar City Scouts were Presentation of the Eagle Rank at the monthly court of honor held Sunday by the Ce- Mace, Troop 342. Kunz is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Merrill B. Kunz; Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell Lunt are parents of scouter Lunt and Mace's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Harold Har-old Mace. i Presentation of the Eaagle Awards was made by George Barrus, Scoutmaster and a former commissioner of the Cedar Breaks District. To each of the boys their participation in scouting activity ac-tivity meant various things. Kunz indicated that "I have learned to respect the out-of-doors, learned how to get along with other people and to appreciate nature." j For Mace it was stated like this: "I have learned how to help others, and participate In activities and be able to lose or win. I have learned how to survive in the camps." In the case of Jimmv. the Eagle badge meant to him that "I have learned to take and accept responsibility and to get along with others. I have learned how to cook and camp and many skills from the merit badges." In addition to the Eagle awards, many other advancements advance-ments and merit badges were presented to scouts within the 1 Cedar Breaks District. I i mgk l ftp WIN EAGLE RANKS. These three young men were presented with their Eagle Badges at an impressive ceremony held Sunday evening at the Cedar West Stake House. They are, left to right: Jimmy Lunt and Lewis Kunz, members of Troop 379, and Robert Mace, Troop 342. Presentation was highlight of Cedar Breaks District Court of Honor. |
