Show Jeep Patrol Praised Fellow mg Rescue The Iron County Sheriff's Jeep Pacrol was called to duty on Wednesday, May 24, to effect a rescue operation in Cedar Canyon. It was one of the first rescue efforts of its kind by the Iron County unit. Kevin Gower of Cedar City, while hiking with other youths in the area, had found himself him-self stranded on a shale mountain, unable to get either up or down. The youth had contemplated jumping to another an-other area, but his companions compan-ions persuaded him to remain while they went to town for help. The Iron County Jeep Patrol was called out to assist and they were able to bridge to the area with the aid of ropes and bring him down without difficulty. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Gower, parents of the youth, this week expressed their thanks to the Jeep Patrol for their 1 efforts and effectiveness.
