Show Winners Named In Memorial Day Toumey Memorial Day Golf Tournament Tourna-ment was completed Tuesday just prior to the daily rain. Brent Orchard, golf pro at the Painted Hills Course, announced an-nounced the winners as follows: fol-lows: Wayne Anderson walked away with the Championship Flight first place honors with 76 over 18 holes. He won $12 in merchandise. Placing second sec-ond was Richard Hobbs with a 78, and Cleo Petty and Lenny Len-ny Olafson tied for third place honors with 85's. Petty won third place and $5 in merchandise mer-chandise in a sudden death playoff. In the Flight A Mel Adam and Wallace Osborne tied for first place honors with scores of 84. Adam won first place in a sudden death playoff and took home $13.50 in merchan- dise. Osborne won $8 in merchandise mer-chandise for second place. Close behind was Wes Higbee in third place with an 85. He won $5.50 in merchandise. In Flight B Grant Bieder-man Bieder-man won first place and $15 in merchandise with a 92. LaMar Snyder was in second with a 93 and Ed Auffhammer picked up third place with a 97. Snyder won $9 and Auffhammer Auff-hammer $6, both in merchandise. In the Ladies A Flight, played play-ed over nine holes, three tied for first place honors with 58's. They were Kay Wilkinson, Wilkin-son, Flo Fankhauffer, and Jean Biederman. In a sudden death playoff Mrs. Wilkinson won first place, Mrs. Fankhauffer Fank-hauffer took second, and Mrs. Biederman placed third. They won merchandise prizes valued val-ued at $4.50 and $2. In the B Flight Ruby Seeg-miller Seeg-miller won first with a 60 and Ellen Olafson was second with a 64. Prizes were $5 and $2.50 in merchandise. |
