Show Finalist Plays Readied The Bountiful City Recreation Recrea-tion Department's drama program will come to an end this coming Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 26-27. ON THESE nights, the finalist plays will be presented in final competition at Bountiful Boun-tiful High School. Kim Burningham, director of the program, indicated that nearly 200 young people have participated in plays this summer. The plays this week represent the plays selected by judges as winners in earlier sets. ON TUESDAY evening, five one-act plays, all with junior high age participants, will compete for the honor of the Best Junior High Play of the summer. A Best Actor and Best Actress Ac-tress award will also be awarded. Tuesday's schedule is as follows: 6:30 p.m. "Pajama Party" directed by Roe Ann Jensen in the Little Theatre; 7 p.m. "The Dabblers" directed by Debbie Young. 7:30 P.M. "DON'T Tell A Soul" directed by Jolynn Nelson Nel-son in the Little Theatre; 8 p.m. "Run, Robber, Run" directed by Cydney Peterson in the band room. 8:30 p.m. "The Lobbery" directed by Janet Jenson in the Little Theatre. ON WEDNESDAY evening, a similar set of plays will be presented. Only in this case, the participants will all be senior high school age. At press time, all of these plays have not been selected. But the evening will include: "Mimsey were the Borogroves" directed by Cathy Clarke, "Stolen Prince" directed by Bryan Bowles, and "Augustus" directed by Janet Jenson. ADDITIONAL plays will be named Wednesday, Aug. 20. Schedule for the 27th, will be announced after that evening. |
