Show 4. X.: ,4 "A -Or I" ! ) A - i v I MR. AND MRS. RAY A. DAHL Golden Wedding Mr. and Mrs. Ray A. Dahl of 3250 West 300 North, West Point are observing their Golden Gol-den Wedding anniversary this week with a vacation trip to the Hawaiian Islands with members of their family, the Claude r. Dahl's. THE COUPLE were united in marriage on Aug. 19, 1925, in a ceremony performed in the LDS Salt Lake Temple. Mrs. Dahl was the former Bessie Thurgood and was born and spent her early life in Syracuse. Mr. Dahl is a native of West Point. All of the couple's married life was spent in West Point. MR. DAHL has been a farm owner and operator, spent eight years at Hill Air Force Base, and then was Davis County Assessor for the next 16 years. He retired from that position at the beginning of this year. Active members of the West Point LDS Ward, Mr. Dahl has held numerous positions of leadership in the various ward auxiliaries. He was Sunday School superintendant and held other positions in the Sunday School for a number of years. MRS. DAHL served in the North Davis Stake Primary organization for a number of years, and was also a counselor coun-selor in the North Davis Stake Relief Society for a lengthy period. She too has spent a life time of service in the many ward auxiliary organizations. She has many hobbies, and is a most outstanding woman in the.field of all crafts. She is the first of anyone to capture new and different stitches in crocheting and knitting etc. and as a quilter she cannot be surpassed. HER MANY relatives and close friends have articles of her handiwork, that has been such a joy to her over the years. Mr. and Mrs. Dahl have two children: a son Claude T. Dahl, of West Point and a daughter Mrs. Frank M. Wright, of American Falls. They also have 10 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren that they stay so very close to at all times. AS THEY travel to each of their homes as often as most people go to town. Enjoying visits and traveling around with. |
