OCR Text	INCREASE IN WAGES ON THE RIO GRANDE " DKNYKli, Xov. 12. After conferences confer-ences lasting a week between the officials of-ficials of the road and union leaders, the boilermakers. machinists., blacksmiths black-smiths and apprentices employed in tho Denver & Kio Grande shops have been granted an increase of pay of three cents an hour. The men asked for a five-cent, increase, but compromised on the three-cent advance. The demands of the helpers are under consideration and their wage schedule will probably bo adjusted within a few days. The agreement reached today is retroactive and date from Noenibor 1. It will continue in effect for one year.
