ARREST OP JOHN RYAN PLEASING TO SHERIFF In the arrest of John Rvan bv Deputy Dep-uty Sheriff Jf. 12. Beckstead. Sheriff Sharp is of the opinion that thero has. been captured ono member of tho gang1 of highwaymen which has been operating oper-ating in this city for tho past month. Ryan was arrested just after Iho re-Dorted re-Dorted holdup of tho Nelson saloon at-Midvale. at-Midvale. Thursday night, and was later identified by ono 'of tho mon in tho' saloon at the time- of tho holdup. Tho man who was held up in the phIooh. and whoso name thn ofiico of the sheriff refuse 0 divulge, claims to havo seen Rvan in tho company of threo other men shortly before the saloon was held up, two of whom held up thc saloon. sa-loon. It is understood that Sheriff Sharp has received information from Ryan as to the whereabouts of thc men who held up (ho saloon, and their arrest is ex-Peeled ex-Peeled to tako' place-il, any moment.
