The tentative bids for tho Jeffries-Johnson prize fight, -which aro expected to be considerably, thinned out by December 1. Include two offers from San Francisco, one from Loa Angeles, two from the state of Washington, Washing-ton, one from Idaho, one from Nevada, one from Oklahoma, ono froth .Paris and one from Australia. As both Jeffries and Johnson have expressed a preference for California, ami an It Is doubtful if the fight can be held olsewhero In this country, coun-try, it Is considered moro than probublc that the big light will go to Coffrotli or Gleason of San Francisco, or, McCarcy of Los Angeles. Jeffries Is strongly opposed to lighting outside of this country.
