Along In April lastParse had MullliiB arrested ar-rested on the charge of stealing rock. but. did not secure a conviction Shortly after tllb arrest, Mulllns mo,t Parse near the .corner of T'irst. West and Fourth North streets and gave ldni a severe beating. Farso again had Mullins arrested for assault as-sault and battery, and tho latter pleaded guilty and was lined. , Not satislled with having him fined in police court. Parse Hied suit against Mul-IIiih Mul-IIiih in the city court for damages for the assault In the sum of $1!)!). Shortly after that Mulllns filed an action In tho same court against Parse, to recover damages for tho alleged false arrest on the charcc of stealing rock, and that case is still ponding. Friday, Judge "Will laker heard the damage suit, brought bv .Parse against Mulllns for tho assault and rendered iudginenl in favor of Parse for $10.
