Show Final Rites Accorded 1 Valter Stubbs In Saturday Services ' Funeral services for Walter Stubbs, who died Tuesday, Dec. 2 at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Wm. Heyborne, in Cedar City, were held in the Parowan First-Second Ward chapel Saturday Satur-day at 2 p. m. Bishop George F, Rowley conducted the services and prelude and posilude organ music was played by iiiia Mor-tensen. Mor-tensen. Speakers were F. C. Van Buren, Barbara M. Adams and Arthur Joseph, with opening remarks by Bishop Rowley. The prayer at the home was offered by Oral Le-Fevre Le-Fevre of Panguitch. The invocation invoca-tion at the services was offered by Thomas H. Rowley, the benediction bene-diction by W. Leonard Evans and the grave in the city cemetcy was dedicated by John H. Pendleton. Pen-dleton. Musical numbers included the opening song "Oh, My Father,"' and closing song, "Lead Me Gently Gen-tly Home," by a double mixed quartet consisting of Ola Robinson. Robin-son. Alice Mitchell, Frankle Lou Bentley, Shirley Evans, Verl Taylor, Tay-lor, Claude Orton, Harold Mitchell Mitch-ell and Heber Gurr, with It ha Mortensen at the piano; a vocal vo-cal solo, 'These Hands," by Vert Taylor with Ramona Stubbs at the piano; a vocal duet, "In the Garden," by Ramona Stubbs and Shirley Evans, accompanied by Mrs. Mortensen, and a vocal solo, "Rock of Ages," by Pres. Howard D. Knight, accompanied by Mrs. Stubbs. |
