Show CEDAR CITY SOCIAL SWING By Nola Kupfer Mr. and Mrs. D. Claude Urle returned last week from Denver following a two week's stay at Spears Chiropractic Clinic. They were accompanied to Denver by Mrs. William Woodbury of Hurri-cane. Hurri-cane. Hostess to her pinochle club on Wednesday was Mrs. A. T.l Nelson. Invited as a special guest for the evening was Mrs. Cluff Jolley. As scores were added, prizes were awarded Mrs. Earl Merryweather, Mrs. Jolley and Mrs. Dan Lindsay. A delicious luncheon was served by the hostess. host-ess. The Belva Zimm Club members mem-bers met at the home of Mrs. Giles Bolander on Thursday. A special guest for the evening was Mrs. J. M. Palmer who read the Christmas story, "Peace I Give Unto You," written by Dorothy Clark Wilson. In keeping with the spirit of the season, the ladies lad-ies found the review one that was most enjoyable. The hostess had Invited as her guests for the evening Mrs. Laurence Cooper, and Mrs. Belden Lewis. Light refreshments re-freshments were served to the special guests and 12 members. Duplicate bridge was played on Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Dale Milne. As special guests to Join the club members the hostess Invited Mrs. Wesley Ketch, Mrs. J. W. Campbell, Mrs. Thomas Evans, Mrs. James Olsen, Mrs. Lex Wilkinson, and Mrs. Patrick Fenton. High scores were made by Mrs. Virgil Bird, Mrs. Jack Strafe. As the game was finished light refreshments were served by the hostess. Club members of Mrs. Carlyle Hulet of Summit drove to her home from Cedar City for their club meeting. The ladies enjoy-ed enjoy-ed sewing and making plans for their annual Christmas party. Light refreshments were served by the hostess. The II. Douglas Lunt family returned home on the weekend from a week's vacation in Boun-1 tiful where they were guests of; Mrs. Lunt's parents. Mrs. L. Robert Gardner entertained enter-tained her club on Wednesday evening. Bridge was played during dur-ing the evening. Light refreshments refresh-ments were served to club members mem-bers and Mrs. Florine Major and Mrs. Joe Bennett, guests for the evening. Departing from Cedar City on Saturday will be Mr. and Mrs. Donald Mathews. Mr. and Mrs. Mathews will travel to Norwalk, Calif., where they will visit with the McNeil Mathews. Following a few days with the family. Mi. Mathews will return home leaving leav-ing his wife for a two weeks stay. She will return home shortly be-for be-for Christmas. Bridge was the evening's entertainment en-tertainment on Wednesday as Mrs. Raymond Lee entertained her club members. Invited for the evening also were Mrs. Fallas Olafson and Mrs. Charles Ahl-strom. The home of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hansink was the scene Friday for a lovely Christmas par-ty par-ty to which members of their pinochle club were Invited. The couples enjoyed the game of the evening with Mr. and Mrs. El-wynn El-wynn Halterman and - Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Orton winning high score prizes. Following dessert, present were surprized with a visit from Santa with a gift for them all.
