Show Seminary Sponsors - BYU Chorus In Successful Concert The visit to Parowan by the chorus from the BYU Opera Workshop last week under the sponsorship of the Parowan LDS Seminary, gave assurance that at least one scholarship to the big church school will be awarded award-ed by the Seminary this year, with a possibility that two may, be given, states Franklin Fltts, Seminary principal. The fine chorus from the BYU consisting of about GO members, presented a concert last Wednesday Wednes-day evening with contributions asked of those who attended to go toward this scholarship fund which Is being raised as a project pro-ject by the Seminary. In addition to hearing a fine evening of music, mu-sic, those in attendance had the privilege to contribute to this very worthy cause, and Mr. Fitts, extends his thanks to all who were present. 1 The PYU group under the direction dir-ection of Dr. Don Earl of the Y music faculty, was housed by parents of Seminary students and others In the community Wednesday Wed-nesday night, and presented the musical program the next morning morn-ing for the student body at the high school. Mr. Fitts states that other projects pro-jects are being planned by the Seminary to procure additional funds for the contemplated scholarships schol-arships with recipients of said scholarships to be chosen on the basis of scholarship, church activity acti-vity and worthiness. The selection selec-tion will be made by the stake bouid of education consisting of. the Parowan Stake Presidency,' and Seminary principal. I |
