Show Broncos Meet Dixie In Saturday's Game Coach Boyd Adams' College of Southern Utah Bronco basketball squad will make its first home court appearance of the 1958-59 season Saturday, Dec. 13 at the CSU fieldhouse. Game time Is 8 p. m. The Broncos and the Dixie Rebels Re-bels of St. George will oppose each other on a home and home basis on the week end slate with CSU at. St. George Friday evening eve-ning and the two squads returning return-ing to the CSU fieldhouse Saturday Satur-day for the first home game of the season. The uroncos, led by 6-5 Inch Paul Rasmussen, posted a two-game two-game victory over Nevada Southern South-ern University at Las Veas, Nev. last week end. The Rebels have Just returned from a Jaunt Into Arizona where they met Williams Air Force Base, Luke Air Force Base and Phoenix Junior College In a three-game twine that took five days to complete. The two-night stand between the traditional rivals Is a con-conference con-conference arrangement. Sunday, following the Saturday Satur-day evening battle on the home court, the Broncos will board the bus for their annual California circuit tour and entrance in the Chaffey Junior College tournament tourna-ment at Ontario. Enroute the Broncos stop off at San Diego, Calif., for an encounter en-counter with San Diego Junior College on Monday evening, December De-cember 15. On Wednesday, Dec. 17 the Broncos will be at the Chaffey tournament which runs through Saturday, Dec. 20. Adams Indicated that only three of the starting berths were decided, Rasmussen, Archibald and Bailey. The other two starting start-ing posts are up for grabs, he stated. Against Nevada Southern Friday evening starters Included the three above mentioned men, with Cooper and Castillo at the guard positions. Only one change was made for Saturday's contest that was Brlndley for Rasmussen. Rasmus-sen. Athletic department of the college also announced that al seats for the home games this season would be reserved. Only exception will be the bleachers in the south end of the field-house. field-house. Season tickets, for conference games only will be on sale this week at $6.00. The remainder of the seats will be sold at the games on a reserve seat basis with a portion of the seating reserved re-served for students and a family section. I Price of the ticket will not be upped, however. The reserve seats, on a per game basis, will I be $1.00 price charged for general gen-eral admission in past seasons. i |
