Show Dance Studio Presents Christmas Festival "A Christmas Dance Festival," will be presented on Saturday Dec. 20 at the College of Southern South-ern Utah auditorium by the 15C students of the Manya Martell Dance Studio. Twenty-four different numbers Involving over 150 students will participate in the event which has been under preparation foi nearly seven months, according to Miss Martell. Program will begin at 7:30 p. m. It was also pointed out that parents of the youngsters have made over 500 costumes In preparation prep-aration for the dance festival. A variety of numbers featuring tap, ballerina and creative dances will be performed on the program, which the public Is invited in-vited to attend. Tickets for the show are on sale by students of the dance studio and will also be available at the box office on the evening of the performance. In addition to the group num- i ' bers, several solo appearances , will be made and a vocal solo 1 will also be presented. "Rein-I "Rein-I deers," is one of the group num.-1 num.-1 bers featuring a group of youngsters young-sters with elaborate costumes, j depicting reinder. Other numbers include "In the I Woods," "School Days," "Dancing Starlets," "Goody, Goody," "Ru-; "Ru-; dalph," "My Hoop Skirt," "Me and My Brother," a duet number; num-ber; "Village Belldonians," "Let's Sing It," "Sweethearts," "Stars t and Stripes," "Sugar Plum Fairy," Fai-ry," "Story Book Dolls," "We Dance Too," and others. All types of dances, all types and elaborate costumes and stag-1 lng, should make the festival an outstanding treat for the Yuletide season. Miss Martell in- j dicated. I |
