To be honored on 50th The family of Leslie and Beulah Cook will honor the couple with an open house celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. The event will be from 2-6 p.m. on Saturday, March 5 at the Syracuse Syra-cuse LDS Church, 2500 S. Bluff Road, Syracuse. Your love and friendship are the only gifts to bring. They were married March 3, 1938 in Farmington. The marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple June 29, 1944. They have lived in Syracuse the past 50 years. He has worked at HAFB and Naval Supply Depot for 23 years, three years at Westinghouse and 27 years at West Branch Irrigation and served in World War II. Active-Iii ihe LDS Church, he served in various church assignments assign-ments as president f He Syracuse 3rd Ward Sunday School, priesthood priest-hood and Sunday School teacher, North Davis Stake Sunday School stake board, home teacher for 53 years, priesthood adult instructor and secretary. He assisted in little league baseball assignments and other sport activities. . Beulah has worked at HAFB 1 1 years, cashier in a grocery store for 13 years, has been enjoying family as a mother and housewife. Her hobbies include doll collecting and souvenirs from all over the world. They had five boys and one girl; children and spouses include Val and Patricia Cook, Dennis L. and Sharon Cook, ShuRee Lee and Terry Kerr, Kevin T. and Susan Cook, from Syracuse; Gary S. and Sheila Cook, Layton; Brent M. Cook, deceased, formerly married to Linda Stevens of Kaysville. They have 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
