Show Whitaker honored Russell Whitaker, the guidance specialist for the Utah State Office of Education, has been selected by the National Association of School Psychologists to receive a Certificate Certifi-cate of Appreciation. This award is presented to recognize Mr. Whi-taker's Whi-taker's efforts on behalf of Utah's students. The award was presented to Mr. Whitaker Friday, Feb. 26 at the annual convention of the Utah Association of School Psychologists Psycholog-ists in the behavioral sciences building on the University of Utah campus. The National Association of School Psychologists is a nonprofit non-profit organization of over 10,000 members devoted to serving the mental health and education interests in-terests of our nation's youth. Mr. Whitaker is past president of both the Davis Education Association Associa-tion and the Davis PTA. He worked work-ed in Davis School District as a junior high teacher, coach and as a school counselor prior to joining the State Office of Education. He received his doctorate in educational educa-tional psychology from Utah State University. He resides in Farming-ton Farming-ton with his wife, Janet, and their children. |
