Show Wildcats fall at Jordan, 71-59 SANDY The hard-luck Wildcats did it again Friday night. While Woods Cross is racking up its fair share of moral victories, the losses keep mounting. Against the lirst-place Beetdiggers, the 'Cats fell victim to a bad first quarter en route to dropping a 71-59 Region Six decision. Woods Cross is now 1-12 in league play and 1-18 overall. The Wildcats played the 'Diggers almost even for three periods after a disastrous opening period. Jordan outscored WX 19-9 in the first quarter to provide Jordan with an adequate cushion. At halftime, the Beetdiggers led 42-30. Both teams scored 29 points in the second half as Woods Cross was unable to overtake the 3A state tournament-bound Beetdiggers. Koy Lombardi led Jordan with 24 points and 19 rebounds, while Jamie Coombs and Shawn Kearns led the 'Cats with 14 points apiece.
