Show Ronald nabbed at McDonald's RICHFIELD Richfield Police Department detective John Evans and officers Bill Grand and Scott Beckstead were commended in a letter from Jefferson County, Colo. Sheriff Ronald L. Beckham for their part in apprehending and later obtaining a murder confession confes-sion from a Golden, Colo., man. In a letter to Police Chief Mayo Jackson, Beckham was high in his praise of the officers, "for their alertness, professionalism and the assistance they rendered to personnel of the Jefferson County Sheriffs Office." The sheriff added that the local officers efforts were 4 'invaluable in solving this crime and bringing this case to a successful conclusion." conclu-sion." The incident occurred Sept 30 when Crane, alerted to a possible intoxicated driver at McDonald's Restaurant, arrested Ronald Pelham of Golden, Colo. After taking Pelham to the Sevier County Jail, he admitted to detention officers that he had murdered his parents in Golden, Colo. Following interrogation by Evans and Crane, Colorado authorities were notified and after investigation at Pelham's home, the bodies of his mother and father were discovered. Both had been murdered. Local officers later obtained a search warrant, and a thorough search of Pelham's vehicle was conducted- |
