Prom-mi Prom-mi er of the local sheriffs department. Svein M. Kjelsrud, 18-year-old Tremonton resident, was seen by Sgt. Pommier traveling at a high rate of speed going south on 400 West in Tremonton. At 2:04 a.m., Pommier pursued Kjelsrud through town as he swerved around comers and dodged through alley ways, sometimes going 30 miles per hour over the speed limit. Finally the pursued and the pursuer left town and sped down Iowa String Road, turned left going east on 7200 North, where the speeder left the road and went into the hole. Kjelsrud was arrested at the scene on 1 1 600 W. 7200 North and then booked into the Box Elder County Jail on charges of alleged reckless driving, felony evading, improper auto registration, driving without a license and several other traffic violations. Kjelsrud was not injured and no accident report was turned in. Vehicle damage is unknown. |
