Show Survey of Utah ranchers and farmer started on Feb. 1 0 as to assess farm sector debts, assets and cash flow key indicators of the economic well-being of farmers. The findings will also be used to estimate costs and returns of producing pro-ducing individual commodities. Utah farmers are asked to coop erate in the voluntary survey so they will be fully represented in the national picture. Farmers selected for the survey are guaranteed confidentiality. con-fidentiality. The results of the survey will be published in mid-summer. A survey of Utah ranchers and farmers began Feb. 10. The United States Department of Treasury survey covers topics such as production pro-duction costs and financial conditions condi-tions on the nation's farms. Local interviewers began contacting contac-ting 1 69 local farmers to collect information in-formation about the 1991 costs of production, debts and assets, earnings earn-ings and production practices of farmers nationwide. Survey information will be used to determine farm production expenditures ex-penditures and farm income as well |
