Show 7 named to Chase Lane Estates board By TOM HARALDSEN Clipper Correspondent CENTER VILLE Seven citizens have been named to the administrative control board of the new Chase Lane EstatesCasa Lorn a Special Service District designed to find solutions to culinary water problems in five city subdivisions. City Council approved appointment appoint-ment of the seven citizens from a list of nine applicants. The action follows approval for formation of the district earlier this year. Members on the board include David Hirschi, Dennis Randall, and David Youngberg, all appointed to four-year terms; and Tim Holdstock, William B. Ince, Michael Taylor and Robert Wright, each of whom will serve two-year terms. Board members will now elect officers and determine their own regularity of meeting schedules. The board's main function will be to determine how best to solve culinary water problems that have plagued homes in Chase Lane Estates Plat A, B and C; Chase Lane West, and Casa Loma Plat F. Residents in those areas have been seeking help from the city on water problems for years, and last year, during a public hearing on the issue. City Council agreed to study the feasibility of forming the board. The board's first concern will probably be to develop a budget and method for funding it. Under the resolution forming the board. City Council reserves its right to levy taxes on property in the area, issue bonds payable from taxes, call or hold an election for authorization of taxes or bonds, levy assessments for improvements, issue interim warrants war-rants or bonds payable from those ; assessments, and appoint a board of equalization. Those appointed for two-year terms will serve until Dec. 31, 1993, while others will serve until Dec. 31.1995. |
