The other resignation came from John Baumgaertel, city justice of the peace for 15, years, who told the council failing eyesight prompted him to resign. Replacements for either of these vacancies have not been announced. Mr. Baumgaertel asked to be relieved May 15, but indicated he would remain until a successor had been appointed. He and his wife intend to spend the summer visiting relatives on the West and East coasts. Another application for a franchise fran-chise to supply television for Roosevelt was received from the Empire Electronics Co. of Salt Lake City. They would pipe TV to the area and would charge $150 per connection, with a $4.00 per month service charge on all sets installed. No action was taken on this application. |
