Show I Married Easter A wedding of interest to many Myton friends was solemnized Easter Sunday, April 10th, when Mrs. Helen Wyner, formerly of Salt Lake City and Lawrence Od-ekirk Od-ekirk of Ioka, recited their marriage mar-riage vows with Bishop Lemon officiating. A few close friends were present. A lovely bridal cake centered the tabre at the home of Mrs. Edna Drollinger, where refreshments were served after the wedding. The bride was honored at a shower April 15th at the Ioka LDS church. Mr. Odekirk is a former resident of Myton, while his bride has a host of friends here who extend their congratulations con-gratulations and good wishes. Mrs. Grace Dalgleish was hostess hos-tess Saturday afternoon at a bridge dessert luncheon with the following guests present: Mrs. Floyd Lamb of Roosevelt, Mrs. Rex Lamb, Mrs. Bliss Lott, Mrs. Homer Robinson, Mrs. Wesley Jenson, Mrs. P. E. Church, Miss Alice Todd and Mrs. W. H. Linck. Bridge was enjoyed during the afternoon with prize for high score awarded to Miss Todd. VISIT OLD HOME Mrs. George Stewart, Sr. accompanied ac-companied Mr. and Mrs. George Stewart, Jr. and family of Roosevelt Roose-velt and Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Stewart Ste-wart and family of Sunnyside, on a trip to Old Diamond, near Eureka, Eu-reka, last week. The old townsite is the former home of the Stewart family and many relatives of George Stewart, Sr. (deceased) are buried there. They were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. O'Connor at Eureka during their visit. J. W. Jenson returned "home last week from Bountiful, where he spent the winter months with his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Bratke, who brought him to Myton and spent two days visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Jenson. Mr. and Mrs. W. IE. Burton went to Salt Lake City Thursday to seek medical attention for Mr. Burton who has been 311 for some time. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Robinson enjoyed a visit last week from their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Max Robinson, who have been residing in Denver, Colorado. Col-orado. They spent two days here and then went to Idaho Falls, where Mr. Robinson has been transferred. Visitors Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish were Mr. and Mrs. Ralph C. Walker and daughter, Jean, who came from Salt Lake City for the day. The group went to Duchesne in the late afternoon for a brief visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hart before the Walkers returned re-turned to Salt Lake City. Members of the American Legion Leg-ion and Auxiliary, Wm. R. Sands Post and Unit No. 5 who attended attend-ed the Spring Convention of the Legion and Auxiliary in Duchesne Sunday were: District Commander Comman-der and Mrs. Calvin Monks, Post Commander and Mrs. H. C. Cooper, Coop-er, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Felter, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Lott, Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Harris, Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish, Miss Alice Todd, Mrs. Lydia Nielson, Mrs. Alice Brummett, Mrs. Lydia Peatross, Mrs. Lionel Babcock, Miss Alice Smith, Robert Sands, Dave Felter, Blaine Brokaw, Donnell Brokaw and Paul Bowden. A nice honor was conferred on this unit when Mrs. Milton Lott was elected to the office of president of District No. 9. She will be installed at the Department Convention in June at Vernal. |
