Show Ethel Beebe Bazaar A Success The Bazaar and food sale sponsored spon-sored by the Altonah Legion Auxiliary Aux-iliary held at Chink's Garage in Altamont, Wednesday, April 13th was very much a success. Mrs. El-va El-va Snyder, of Altonah, held the lucky number for the new quilt. Mr. and Mrs. Arvil Stone and family, of Murray, spent the Easter Eas-ter weekend with Mrs. Stone's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Smith. Mr. and Mrs. George Carroll made a trip to Salt Lake City on Friday, April 8. j Mrs. Violet Smith, Mrs. Ethel Fisher and Mrs. Marry Carroll at- tended a quilting at the home of 1 Mrs. Vivie Reay one day last week. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Young, of Farmington, New Mexico, spent the Easter weekend with Mr. Young's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Dump. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Daniels, of Lapoint, visited their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. I Norman LaRose, last Sunday. Mrs. Vendetta Clark left last week to visit her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Clark in North Carolina. Bob is in the Air Force. Mr. and Mrs. Ty Kolb and family fam-ily and Mrs. Marry Carroll spent last weekend in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Louie Reese and family, of Salt Lake City, were weekend guests in Altonah. They also attended church on Easter Sunday. j Mr. and Mrs. Amon Case and family, of Midvale, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Bowden over the Easter weekend. Mr. and Mrs. George Fisher and family went Eastering in Nine Mile. Mr. and Mrs. Hardy Perkins and daughter. Marsha, went to Salt Lake City to spend Easter weekend week-end with relatives there. ' Mrs. George Carroll took her son, Leon, to Vernal, Sunday, Apr. 10, where he left for Kansas. He is employed by an oil company and just returned recently from Canada. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Beebe returned re-turned home Sunday from a 10-day 10-day visit in San Antonio, Texas with their son-in-law and daughter, daugh-ter, Mr. and Mrs. George Tadich. Mrs. Robert Burson and son, LeRoy was in Salt Lake City several sev-eral days during the week. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Young and family are visiting in Lapoint and Salt Lake City for a while. Guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Fisher, Sr. during last week were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. J. Bond, of Heber, and Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Swallow of Tabiona. HEARS OF MARRIAGE Mrs. Ethel Fisher received word of the marriage of her sister. Mrs. Mable Stevenson, April 7th at a home wedding to Arthur J. Gentry. Gen-try. The happy married couple honeymooned in San Francisco and Oregon and other points for a month. Mrs. Veda Jorgensen was a Roosevelt visitor Saturday. INDIAN MISSION GOLD-GREEN BALL The Indian Mission held their Gold and Green Ball Friday evening eve-ning at the Randlett recreation hall. The music was furnished by the Smith orchestra from Gusher. . Mr. and Mrs. Norton Shelton and son, Duane, of Roosevelt, and Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Lewis and family were Sunday visitors at the J. E. Jensen home. Sunday School officers and teachers attending the two stake convention in Roosevelt Sunday, were:- Mr. and Mrs. Drayden Foster, Fos-ter, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wall, Calvin Jorgensen, Bert Stoddard, Ethel Durfee, Jennie McMullen, Carolyn Stoddard, Oliver Jorgensen Jorgen-sen and Richard Durfee. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wardle and family, of Vernal, moved into the ward Monday. Miss Delsa Durfee spent the weekend visiting her parents and her new nephew. Mrs. Beverly Brough and twins came home from the Uintah Basin Hospital, Sunday. Lyle Pickup and Larry Dudley from the BYU spent the weekend visiting their parents. Grant Jarman, from Price, spent the weekend here. Mrs. Nina Clark and Mrs. Lori Lee Peay were Vernal visitors Monday. Willard Wall, of Salt Lake City, spent a few days during the week taking care of matters of business. |
