Show UTAH 1946 PHEASANT AND QUAIL HUNTING PROCLAMATION WHEREAS, it has become advisable ad-visable to open a hunting season on pheasants and quail in the State of Utah during the year 1946; NOW, THEREFORE, we, the Fish and Game Commission of the State of Utah, by authority of Sections Sec-tions 30 0 7, 30 08 and 30 052, Utah Code Annotated. 1943, do hereby proclaim limit for pheasants and quail for the year 1946, with exceptions hereinafter stipulated, shall be: Species, Pheasants; sex, male; season, Nov. 2, 3, 4; hours, 7:00 a. m. to 5:30 p. m.; bag limit, 3-posession 3-posession limit, 6- Species, Quail; sex, either; season, sea-son, Nov. 2, 3, 4; hours, 7:00 a. m. to 5:30 p. m.; bag limit, 10; posession limit. 20. General Provisions .. PROVIDED, that no rifle, revolver, re-volver, or pistol may be used in the pursuit of pheasants or quail and that no shotgun pellets larger than No. 2 may be used for pheasant and. quail hunting. PROVIDED, that no shooting shall be allowed before 7 a. m. or after 5:30 p. m. on any of the days open for the hunting of pheasants and quail. Be it also provided that it shall be unlawful to so mutilate the carcass car-cass of any pheasant as to destroy, or attempt to destroy, the evidence of sex, either while in transit or in storage. Be it futher provided that any area not otherwise mentioned herein may be closed to hunting without further notice as an emergency conservation or fire prevention measure, by posting suitable signs and markers. Refer to Sections 30 0 81 to 30097 inclusive, Utah. Code Annotated, 1943, for regulations pertaining to shooting on posted areas, and private lands. It is provided by statute that the above rules and regulations shall have full force and effect of law. Any violation thereof shall bo considered consid-ered a misdemeanor and shall be prosecuted as such. (See local game warden or licenso agent for special closed areas.) UTAH FISH AND GAME COMMISSION. |
