Show Shafter-Holley W edding Lovely Autumn Event At a lovely autumn wedding, Miss Lois Shafter, daughter daugh-ter of Mrs. David Berry of American Fork, became the bride of LaMar Harrison Holley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Hol-I Hol-I ley, at the American Fork 2nd ward church. Ellison and the bride was given in marriage by her brother, Thomas L. Shafter. She wore a gown, of white silk jersey, entrain, with a peplum of allover lace, and long lace mitts. Her fingertip veil of bridal illusion illu-sion fell from a tiara of orange blossoms, and she carried a bouquet bou-quet of white roses centered with an orchid, and the white satin streamers were caught with van-da van-da orchids. Mrs. Thomas L. Shafter Shaf-ter as matron of honor wore green net over satin. Mr. Leo Vernon, attending matron, Miss Millie Peters Pet-ers and Miss Gladys Grant, .bridesmaids, .brides-maids, all wore formal gowns of pink shades. They carried colonial bouquets of asttrs, gladioli anu rosebuds with pink and green streamers. Little Misses Janet Holley and Mary Ann Bell, frocked in green net over pink satin, were flower girls and train bearers. Each carried car-ried a baskelt of pink asters. The bride's mother wore black crepe and the groom' mother, deep blue crepe, tooth with'silver sequin trim and each wore a corsage of gardenias gar-denias and pink rosebuds. Serving as best man for his brother was Russell Holley. Following the ceremony a reception re-ception was held in Firmage Hall, at which 500 guests were in attendance. atten-dance. A fine program was given with Clarence A. Grant as master of ceremonies. The hall and reception re-ception rooms were beautifully decorated with fall flowers and autumn leaves, the decorating being be-ing done by Mrs. Harold Holley, Mrs. , Delbert Chipman and Mrs. Culver R. Anderon. The guests were greeted by Mr. and Mrs. S. F. Grant, Thomas Shafter and Ted Miller were ush- ers and the guest book was in ' charge of Miss Melva Miller. Mrs. Jack Iverson, Mrs. C. A. i Grant, Mrs. John I. Holley and Miss Lillie Shafter took care of 1 the gift rooms and were assisted by Colleen Holley, Marilyn Met- calf, Kathleen Carter and Deanna Grant. The serving table was covered with a band embroidered Chinese cloth, and was centered with a three-tiered wedding cake with white tapers on either side. The" young couple left for a honeymoon hon-eymoon trip to the southern canyons can-yons and to California.
