Show 'STORY CONTEST OUTLINED BY JAYCEE WIVES Entries Must Be True Pioneer Incidents; All Must Be In Nov. 8. The Springville Jaycee Wives are conducting a True Pioneer Story Contest as part of their centennial cen-tennial observance plans, according accord-ing to Mrs. Ernest Boyer, contest chairman. The contest will open this week and close November 8. Prizes will be offered in the junior jun-ior section which will include stories stor-ies written, by individuals to 15 years of age, and also in the adult section. The prize winning stories are to be compiled and published in book form to be sold as Christmas Christ-mas gifts, and the proceeds will be turned over to the art project, Mrs. Boyer stated. The stories must be of true pioneer pio-neer incidents and are not to exceed ex-ceed 500 words. They are to be written on one side of the paper. All stories must be accompanied by a sealed envelope in which is placed the name of the writer and the age of the writer. All entries must be addressed to Mrs. Ernest Boyer, and be in by November 8. Other details in connection with the contest will be announced in later issues of the Herald. |
