Show . 1 Furniture Fashions I V-l Hi ! u 1 'J r r w, k' K Smart interior decorating often consists of turning a debit into an asset. Here is a bit of interior decorating which shows what can be done with windows which are unattractive in themselves and also front on an unattractive view. Behind these candy-striped shades is the blank, brick wall of the neighboring apartment building . . . certainly cer-tainly not a view to inspire or charm. Moreover, the windows themselves are awkward long, narrow, and off-center. By using draperies and , window shades in attractively colored stripes, the decorator has achieved not only a sense of harmony but has made provision for a necessity . . . keeping the window shades lowered full-length full-length most of the time. The stripe in the window shade and the studio couch cover are in turquoise. The draperies are of a mustard-yellow felt. |
