Show FUTURE FARMER LEAVES ON BIG BAND TRIP Billy Duncan One of 175 Band Members To Attend FFA Convention Billy Duncan, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Duncan of this city, hag been selected to represent the . . . r 5 ; -". ' ? 1 Springville Future Farmers of America chapter in the state FFA band which will leave on Friday for the national FFA convention at Kansas City. An outstanding member of the local FFA chapter, Billy is especially especi-ally interested in swine aside from his music, and expects to enter his choice animals in exhibits this year. He will leave on a special train chartered by the Future Farmers from Utah carrying 175 band members, mem-bers, chapter representatives, national na-tional delegates, band conductors, and guests of the state from Salt Lake City, Friday. The train will arrive in Denver on Saturday. While in that city, the band will give a concert, have lunch and be on their way to Kansas City. The special arrives in Kansas City on Sunday. The Utah delegation delega-tion will go directly to the large Municipal Auditorium where members mem-bers will be housed for the duration dura-tion of the convention. They will proceed to Independence, Mo., where a concert will be given at 1:30 p. m., on Sunday, Oct. 20. On this date the first official concert con-cert of the national convention will be given in the large auditorium of the Municipal building. The Utah band will be featured in the memorial exercises on Monday in commemoration of the Future Farmers Far-mers who lost their lives in World War H. The Utah band will also be featured on several other occasions occa-sions during the convention. |
