Show THE ELEVEN $64 QUESTIONS The SOth Congress to be elected next year November 5th will have a terrific task to perform. We must make sure that we send the right men and women to Washington Washing-ton to tackle that tremendous job. Candidates for office should be carefully scrutinized. We must find out first, docs the past performance per-formance of the candidate in Congress, Con-gress, in business or profession, or on his job of work, indicate integrity integ-rity and ability, that campaign pledges will be carried out. Having determined the candidate is honest, we should ask him or her the following eleven $64 questions: 1. Do you recognize clearly that our greatest enemy is not some foreign nation, but big, wasteful, centralized government in Wash- ington ? 2. Will you act on the principle that Federal taxes should be levied only to raise sufficient revenue for economic administration of our government' and not for purposes of "reform" ? 3. Will you advocate that in order to keep government servants sober on expenditures, a top peacetime peace-time ceiling be fixed on all income and estate taxes, perhaps as low as 25 per cent, and certainly not above 50 per cent? 4. Will you challenge every old and every proposed new government govern-ment expense? 5. Can you and will you say "NO" to those seeking financial favors from the Federal government? govern-ment? 6. Will you challenge every new as well as old function of our national nat-ional government with a view to either elimination or consolidation? consolida-tion? 7 Will you vote to put a stop to all government and partisan propaganda pro-paganda carried on through the use of free postage, free printing, the waste of personnel, etc.? 8. Do you stand for and will you insist on a complete expose of the Social Security hoax; to let people know that, as the program is now handled, all the money now derived de-rived from taxes on individuals and employers, is being spent currently, cur-rently, and that all working people will have to be taxed over again, directly or indirectly, to pay the several billion dollars per annum in pensions which must be met- 25 or 30 years hence? 9- Will you oppose any further giving away of our substance to foreign countries, by what are charitably but erroneously described de-scribed as "loans" ? 10. Will you do everything in your power to stop our giving away the United States under the guise of UNRRA, delayed Lend-Lease, Lend-Lease, or sales of surplus war materials at prices far below any reasonable cost? 11. Will you do your utmost to see that the Federal government is immediately stripped of its "emergency" and war-time powers; and that administrative and financial fin-ancial functions which lirtrlpr nnr Day, vote for that candidate. Then, as you lay your weary head on your pillow the night of next November 5th, you can go to sleep with a clear concience, knowing know-ing that you have done your part to help save this nation from the Communists, "Parlor-Pinks," ''Economic ''Ec-onomic Planners," and "Do-Good-ers" who are hell-bent on destroying destroy-ing it. s Constitution, belong to the individual indivi-dual States, are promptly returned to them? You may think of other questions, ques-tions, but if the candidate answers "Yes" to all eleven of those $64 questions; and if past performance and reputation insure that he or she will live up to those promises, there's your candidate.
