Show Kiwanis golf 'successful' Support of 21 sponsors and three-score participants who helped make possible community programs such as scholarships for high school students and assistance assist-ance for handicapped, was applauded ap-plauded at the first regular September Septem-ber meeting of the Bountiful Kiwanis Kiwa-nis Club and at the September board of directors meeting. Individual gross, Gary Hatfield, 73; Mike Orobstein, 76; Clark Jenkins and Terry Norton, tie at 78. Individual net, Lynn Deppe, 71; Wes Johnson, 73; San Russell and Randy Berg, tie at 74. Closest to the pin, first, Mike Grobstein; second, Terry Horton. Longest drive, Fred Hale. coninDutions in time and money toward the success of the 8th annual Golf Tournament, Aug. 18, are deeply appreciated by the Kiwanis Club, the community and by those who will benefit from the annual fund raising project, according to Jay Moffat, president. Sponsors for holes included: Associated Title Co., J.C. Banger-ter Banger-ter and Sons, Bountiful Mazda, Cellular I, Cotton Tree Inn, Dan Eastman AMC-Jeep-Renault, Design De-sign and Signs, Doug Smith Chrysler, Chrys-ler, Duncan Electric, First Interstate Inter-state Bank, First Security Bank, Golden Tide Inc., Letter Perfect Signs, MASCO, Menlove Dodge-Toyota, Dodge-Toyota, Murdock Chevrolet, Ser-vus Ser-vus Drug, Utah Bank and Trust, Utah Title Co., Valley Bank and Trust, and Marion Willey Ford. Commendations also went to all who assisted in the tournament headed by N. Dev Nielson, Dave Heaps and Gary McCarty and to sponsors of prizes.
