Improvement district for Val Verda area By C1ISRIE HUBER j FARMINGTON Davis County Coun-ty Commissioners have issued a notice of intent to form a special improvement district in the Val Verda area to add curb and gutter. The petition for the new district will be published four times, and a hearing will be held Oct. 7. The district will be on 100 East and go from 3100 South to 3300 South, except where curb and gutter gut-ter already exist. The curb and gutter gut-ter will provide better flood control and a border for the street so the road department can grade the road. Barry Burton of the County Planning Department told the commissioners com-missioners that the residents along the affected area are mostly in favor of the project. The hearing will give anyone opposed to crea tion of the district an opportunity to protest. Estimated cost of the project is $15,135, which will be reimbursed to the county by the property owners. Commissioner Harold Tippetts said that when the project is completed, com-pleted, the county's intent would be to completely reconstruct the road.
