Show Irving Jr. Clubs Have Busy Week, Map Out Future Proqrams year's Snow King was BRAD SMITH who this year is president presi-dent of the Ski Club. The students stu-dents that are chosen will be crowned at the next assembly Wonder who they'll be? ATTENTION PARENTS-Next PARENTS-Next Monday tile Irving P.-T. A. will hold its second program-According program-According to MRS. MALCOLM PIKE, the president of the school's organization, a splendid splen-did program has been planned. This will include the excellent play that was dramatized by the eighth grade students a couple of weeks ago, to the immense enjoyment of the whole school. According to BONNIE HODGSON, HODG-SON, our swell Irving Ink editor, ed-itor, the second issue of the "Ink" will be larger than the previous one. Bonnie and the associate editor, PAT STEVENS, STE-VENS, have surely been busy this week getting all the reports in on time for the printer. A special attraction of this issue will be a short story written by one of the students. Who? No one knows yet. But there have been many fine stories turned in so we're sure to have a good one. George Garwood. Yesterday after school, the Latin Club held its usual biweekly bi-weekly meeting in the auditorium. auditor-ium. RICHARD TAYLOR, our president, called the meeting to order and did his usual good job of presiding over the meeting. Our secretary, BETTY BERNT-SON, BERNT-SON, read the minutes of the last two meetings. MARIE ROTZLER started the program off very nicely with two piano numbers. These were followed by a reading by HOPE FAIR-ANKS. FAIR-ANKS. A song followed by GLENNA RAYMOND, (and a very excellent job she did, too). A beautiful dance was then presented pre-sented by NATALIE ALLEN. Then MARLENE SCHOBERT and JO ANN BARTLETT concluded con-cluded part of the program with a cute little song. The stage was then cleared and an original playlet written by LESTER PETTIT was enacted en-acted by his classmates, the second sec-ond year Latin students. It was a very fine program and the Latin Club officers should cen-tainly cen-tainly be complimented as"' should all those who took part. On Wednesday the Ski Club met in D-3 for its regular weekly week-ly meeting. There the members mem-bers were told that they would have another trip up to Alta this Saturday. They also made plans to choose a Snow Queen and a Snow King. As you all know last |
