Show FOOD TALKS But Good OP SHELLFISH CHRISTMAS COCKTAIL No matter where you live, from the middle west to the coast or the border, there is some shellfish you can use for a delicious introduction to a Christmas dinner. Oysters, rosy pink shrimp, clams, lobsters or crabs , come fresh, frozen, or canned. Served alone or combined, com-bined, they're the perfect beginning be-ginning for a festive meal, and patriotic, too, because not one little bit of grain went into feeding them. You will want a super sauce to enhance each succculent seafood morsel, so here it is: 2-3 cup ketchup 3 tablespoons chili sauce 2 tablespoons horseradish sauce 3 tablespoons lemon juice Combine all ingredients. Mix well and chill. Serve with fish or shelled fish. Makes one cup of sauce, and serves six to eight. For variety, add a dash of tabasco ta-basco or Worcestershire sauce, a teaspoon of minced parsley, or a pinch of dried tarragon. A shinny curl of green pepper is Christmasy with the red sauce. |
