Show Presbyterians to Observe Bible Sunday Universal Bible Sunday will be observed at the Wasatch Presbyterian Church, 1701 South Eleventh East, at the 11 o'clock service Sunday morning, Dec. 7. Rev. Don Christiansen will preach on the importance of Bible Bi-ble reading today. Special music mu-sic by the vested choir under the direction of Mr. Fred Hammill will be presented. days. He has been MIA president presi-dent of Sugar House ward and he was first counselor in the stake superintendency, heading the activity council. He was also active in the dramatic field as a dramatic director Perhaps his greatest activity has been in the scouting movement in which he has served some 15 years. For two years he was deputy district commissioner. And, as he says, he has been a scout master, troop committeeman committee-man "and SCOUT" the rest of the time. Another love is music. He is president of the prominent Orpheus Or-pheus Club. In his ward, Holladay Hol-laday LDS Ward, he is choir leader. For the most part, his leaning is toward religious music, mu-sic, but he has a special place in his heart for opera. Without reservation he says that "Tann-hauser" "Tann-hauser" is his favorite. Interest in Education In community affairs for the past few years he has been interested in-terested primarily in the education educa-tion program. His work in this field has been noteworthy. The education and youth programs under the sponsorship of the Holladay Lions is widely known in the city. As president of the organization, Mr. Berndt has had a good deal to do in that development. He is also a member mem-ber of the county sewer board. In his twenty-nine years ir the jewelry business, Norman Berndt has become widely known. For vears he was associated as-sociated with the late H. H. Ten-nant. Ten-nant. Since 1937 he has own?d his own jewelry business Norman Nor-man Berndt Co., 23i E. 2nd South. His company manufactures manufac-tures and distrubiutes exclusive designs under the brand name ! of "Norm." I For 15 years the Berndts were Sugar House resident-", living at 1 403 Redondo Ave. For the ! last three years their Holladay j residence has been at 4700 Hugo 1 Ave. |
