Another project currently underway in North Salt Lake is the resurfacing of certain stretches of Orchard Drive, Mr. Wood said. This project was begun to smooth out parti-cularly parti-cularly "bad parts" of Orchard Drive, Mr. Wood explained. ex-plained. THE PROJECT was begun earlier this month and is expected ex-pected to be completed within the next couple of weeks, Mr. Wood said. The project includes in-cludes resurfacing some of the more worn areas along the main thorough way, which will repair cracks and pot holes in the road, and in addition some work will be done to improve curbs and gutters along the road. Mr. Wood explained that since the resurfacing had to be done, the city also decided to improve the condition of curbs and gutters along the road. In an earlier city council meeting it was also decided that North Salt Lake's seven full-time policemen, including Police Chief Val Wilson will get bullet-proof vests. THE VESTS will cost approximately appro-ximately $150 per officer, and will be able to adequately handle the kinds of threats |
