Show Bountiful Recreation News If you are looking for a new and exciting idea for a party for your ward, club or family Bountiful City has just the answer for you. On Friday and Saturday evenings, the Bountiful Boun-tiful Recreation Center is available for rental for all-night parties. Your group has complete com-plete private access to the swimming pool, ice rink, rac-quetball rac-quetball courts, steam and sauna and the downstairs area. The time range available is from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. THE CENTER provides lifeguards, life-guards, complex manager and ice monitors. The base for this service is $ 100 (price varies depending de-pending on size of the group) and skate rental is included in the price. For scheduling information infor-mation please contact John or Kris at the Bountiful Recreation Recrea-tion Center. ICE SKATING Our next session of Learn-To-Skate lessons will begin Oct. 18. The session will run through Nov. 6. Classes are taught on Mon.-Tues, Mon.-Fri. Mon.-Fri. andTues.-Sat. from 4:45-6 p.m. Registration for this ses sion will be held the week of Oct. 10 at the Bountiful Recreation Re-creation Center. The fee for the session is $12 and does not include skate rental. Adult classes are offered continuously con-tinuously on Friday afternoons after-noons at 5 p.m. SWIMMING Our second fall session of swimming lessons will begin the week of Oct. 18 and run through Nov. 19. Classes are held on Mon.-Wed. and Tues.-Fri Tues.-Fri from 4-6 p.m. We will be holding registration the week of Oct. 10 at the Indoor Pool. We offer Boy Scout Swimming and Lifesaving Merit Badge classes. Boy Scouts receive a $2 discount. SHARKS SWIM TEAM Bountiful City sponsors an age-group competitive swim team, the Bountiful Sharks. The team practices Mon.-Tues.-Wed.-Fri. from 4-6 p.m. We invite anyone who is interested in-terested to come and try out for a free week trial period. The team is currently practic-ing practic-ing at the Indoor Pool. Coaches of the team are Ker-stin Ker-stin Severin and Jeff Greene. For more information, please call Kris at 292-0422. STORY TIME We would like to remind you that we offer a babysitting service ser-vice at the BRC. The service is available Monday through Friday Fri-day from 9-12 noon at a cost of 50 cents per child. Let us take care of your children while you swim or skate, play racquet-ball racquet-ball or exercise. EXERCISE PROGRAMS Please drop-in on our Ladies' Evening exercise classes clas-ses currently being held at the Bountiful Indoor Pool on Tuesday and Thursday evenings even-ings from 8-10 p.m. An hour of aerobic exercise and a relaxing hour of water exercises are offered on a continuous basis for $ 1 .50 a visit. Cheryl Rosen-green Rosen-green is the instructor. We offer aqua-trim classes on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9-10 a.m. This program is an hour of water exercises and runs continuously con-tinuously so you may start anytime. For early-risers we offer an Aqua trim program on Monday through Friday from 5-7 a.m. The cost for both of these classes is $1.50 per visit or you may use punch cards. RECREATION PROGRAMS The Recreation Center would be pleased to offer a ski-conditiong ski-conditiong class if there is enough interest. Please call Maxine if you would like to enroll. en-roll. Aerobic exercise classes are taught every Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-7 p.m. at Millcreek Jr. High. The cost is $20 for ten classes and the class is instructed by Mary Bowen. KARATE On Monday evenings at 5:45 Don Youngblood teaches karate ka-rate in the basement of the BRC. You may purchase a five-class punch card for $5.
