Show Take Part In Stake Dance Festival The following girls participated participat-ed in the Stake Dance Festival at Roosevelt and at the Four-Stake Four-Stake Dance Festival held at Union High School last Thursday Thurs-day evening; Shirley Harmon, Sally Burgess, Yeteve Herbert, DeAnna Parrish, Ramona Nelson, Nel-son, Beverly Anderson, Dixie Oberg, Fern Clark, Cleo La-brum, La-brum, Rolene Duke, LaRee- By-water, By-water, and Elaine Chandler. The girls will also present their dance at the Dance Festival Fes-tival in Salt Lake City on Friday, Fri-day, June 12. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Petross of Sandy, visited at the Bill Peatross home Sunday and Monday. Mon-day. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Peatross moved to their new home in Duchesne this week. Mr. and Mrs. Emery Neilson left Monday for Salt Lake City, where Mrs. Neilson will receive medical attention for a fractured frac-tured hip for which she underwent under-went surgery a year ago. Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish visited briefly with Mrs. Dal-gleish's Dal-gleish's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hart, in Duchesne, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Stoker, of Bingham Canyon, Mrs. Ar-lene Ar-lene Mark and son, Jimmy, of West Jordan, and La Von Stoker and son, of Midvale, were week, end visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gingell. : M. and Mrs. L. N. DuBois visited Mrs. Vera Wilson, Mrs. DuBois' mother, over Memorial Day weekend. They returned to' Ogden, Sunday evening, taking tak-ing their son, Nickie, who has resided with his grandmother during the school term, to attend at-tend the Myton school. Mrs. Vera Wilson returned last Wednesday from a brief visit in Ogden. On returning she found her daughter, Judy, very ill with measles. The little Miss is getting along nicely. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Price, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Price and three sons, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mun-yon Mun-yon and two children, all of Ogden, were Memorial Day visitors at the home of Mrs. Vera Wilson. FORMER RESIDENT OF MYTON DIES Mrs. Ashel (Grace) Bingham died suddenly at her home ;. in Salt Lake City, early last week from a heart attack. Mrs. Bingham Bing-ham made her home in Myton for many years prior to moving to Salt Lake City. Mrs. LaVor Dennis, daughter of Mrs. Bingham, and her daughters, daugh-ters, Sherri and Carolyn, left at once and remained in Salt Lake till late in the week. Mr. Dennis, who is employed on construction work joined them there. Mrs. Dennis came home with her daughters and therf returned re-turned to Salt Lake to be with her father for a few weeks during dur-ing his bereavement. ENTERTAIN FRIENDS Mr. and Mrs. S. F. Mortensen, Sr. entertained at dinner Sunday Sun-day evening with the following guests present: Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Lamb, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Lamb, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Linck, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Robinson, Miss Alice Todd. Mrs. Bliss Lott and S. F. Mortensen, Jr. Bridge was the evening's diversion di-version with prizes awarded to Miss Todd. Mrs. Lott, Mr. Linck and Rex Lamb. Memorial Day visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Emery Neilson were Mr. and Mrs. Silas Ross, daughter Colleen, and four grandchildren, of Castle Gate; Mr. and Mrs. Colin Neilson, Mt. Emmons; Mrs. Dick Peterson, Peter-son, Price; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Reay, Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Arden Hacking, Lapoint; Mr. and Mrs. James Sumners, Duchesne; Mrs. Hale Holgate, Mrs. Chad Evans, daughter and son, and Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Thompson, Mrs. Charlie Bird and daughter, Mildred, of Arcadia. |
