Show Mrs. Elsie Bird Upholstering School Held An upholstering school was held during the week, urmer the direction of Mary Lois Reichert. Eight beautiful chairs were completed by ladies from Roosevelt, Myton, Mt. Emmons and Arcadia. Mr and Mrs. R. S. Lusty made a trip to Salt Lake City, Fridsv Mr 'and Mrs. Marion Ross, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bird, Mrs. Marion S. Shields, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Ross, Mr. and Mrs. ir-vin ir-vin Johnson, R. G. Ross and Ora Holgate went to Salt Lake May 29 and accompanied Miss Beverly Johnson and Warden Olsen through the Temple where they were married. Marion Ross and son, Lanny, went to Salt Lake City to' have a medical check up for Lanny. Mr. and Mrs. Art Moon and daughter, Maretta, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Moon, all of Salt Lake-, spent the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arlo Richens. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Richens, of Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Cliff McKenna and children, of Orem, visited over the weekend at the home of Henry Richens. Mr. and Mrs. Max Mullins and son, Kenneth, of San Diego, happily surprised Mr. and Mrs. Thomas M. Gilbert Thursday. They also spent a few days visiting vis-iting Mr. Mullin's mother, Mrs. Lula Mullins, at Roosevelt. Mr. Mullins is stationed in San Diego, Calif, v with the U. S. Navy. Mr. and Mrs. Warden Olsen left Saturday for Richmond, Utah, where they will make their home. Mr. and Mrs. Nel-don Nel-don Johansen took them out. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Pace, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Crow, of Montwel, were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Johnson on Sunday. Mr. Pace is Mrs. Johnson's John-son's brother. Miss Mary Evans, her father, George Evans, Doyle and Harley Evans and Miss Jean Potts, of Upalco, Mr. and Mrs. Arden Evans and family were dinner guests, Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Lusty. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gilbert, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas M. Gilbert, Gil-bert, Gam and Mrs. Rose Gilbert Gil-bert went to Salt Lake Sunday to a testimonial for Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Moore, who will leave soon to fill a mission for the LDS church. Weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hale Holgate and Mr. and Mrs. Chad Evans were Mr. and Mrs. Silas Ross and grandchildren and their daughter, Colleen, of Castle Gate. Speakers in Saxrament meeting meet-ing Sunday nigl were Mrs. Marion Shields and Elder Reed Anderson, a returned missionary from Bluebell. Mr. and Mrs. Cal Cook and girls, Mrs. Leah Richens spent the weekend with Mrs. Cynthia Larsen. Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Cox-, and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Larch, of Salt Lake City, spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jensen. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bird, Sunday, were Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Smith, of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Olga Solmonson and Mrs. Gladys Glad-ys Harris, of Myton; Mrs. Clair Duncan and children, of Neola, and Larry Ross, of Arcadia. |
