Show New 4-H Club 4-H Club work is gaining momentum mo-mentum in this community, with the organization of a new group last week, to be known as the "Snappy Snippers." Beth All-red All-red will preside as president; Sherene Henrie, vice-president; Alene Peterson, secretary; Phyllis Phyl-lis Eksund, rpo'rter; Chorlotte Henrie, chorister. Grace Dye has accepted the position as club leader, and meetings will be held each Wednesday at the members' homes. The family of James O. Peterson Pet-erson honored him with a dinner din-ner at the home of his granddaughter, grand-daughter, Mrs. Jack Leavitt last Sunday, celebrating his 76th birthday. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Thurman Peterson and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Peterson, of Price; Mr. and Mrs. Ned Shoell and three children, of Orem; Mrs. Ada Hutcheon and two sons, of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Leavitt and three daughters. Mr. Peterson was one of the early pioneers of the Basin. The community extends ex-tends its best wishes for many more happy birthdays. The following group of young people motored to Salt Lake City last Friday to do baptismal work in the Temple: Charlotte Henrie, Mavie Dye, Mona All-red, All-red, Aileen Peterson, Gay Clo-ward, Clo-ward, Beth Allred, Bill Dye, Gerald Dye, Glendon Malnar, Errol Whiting, Allen Wardle and Wanda Sprouse. They were accompanied by Bishop and Mrs. Richard Olsen, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Gardner. Mr. and Mrs Charles Crozier, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Allred and Mrs. Kate Peterson. Combining business with pleasure, plea-sure, Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Jensen Jen-sen made a trip to Electric City, Washington, last week to heip their son, Ray, move his family to Salt Lake City. Ray has been employed in Washington for some time. John Zupko, of Kansas City, arrived here last Saturday to spend a few months with his daughter, Mrs. Don Jensen. He reports a temperature of 90 degrees de-grees at the airport when he left last Friday morning. Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Harrison and their daughter, Mrs. Don Horrocks, spent Memorial Day in Fairview. . Mr. and Mrs. Corwin Labrum and small son, of Casper, Wyo. ; i A ! arrived last week for a visit with friends and relatives in Neola. Mr. Labrum returned to his work after a brief stay while Grandpa and Grandma Gardner enjoy the companionship companion-ship of their daughter and grandson for a few weeks. |
