Show f.lOtlTVJELL By Bettie Mower 24 Participate In Dance Festival Those who participated in the District Dance Festival were: Wayne and Enid Brown, Karen and Cheri Nelson, Gardell, Sandra San-dra and Loene Powell, Ronald and Glen Brown, Bettie Mower, Roselee Brown, Ruth, Delmer and Kay Hamblin, Delane Parry, Par-ry, Lester Thompson, Joyce and Mary Dale Hamblin, Kathleen and Dick Mower, Karen Woodward, Wood-ward, Dawn Pace, Valeen and Naomi Adams. They also danced at the Stake Dance Festival, Saturday night, May 23. Ward dance directors are Mr. and Mrs. Doug Brown. James Hamblin, Jr., Arvin Hullinger and Kay Hamblin left Saturday for Idaho, where they are going to' work on the Palace Aid Dam. Mrs. Phoebe C. Litster, of Salt Lake City, spent Sunday afternoon af-ternoon and Monday with Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Mower and family. Miss Arlene Parry arrived home Saturday morning, after completing the year's study as a freshman at the Utah State Agricultural College in Logan. Rosalee Brown is taking care of the two daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Gleaton, of Provo, while they are on their vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Brown went to Logan on Sunday to get their son, Fred, who has finished his first year at the USAC. Mr. and Mrs. Maurel Taylor 'traveled to Salt Lake City last week to bring back their son, Lynn, who is home on leave from the Navy. FIRESIDE CHAT HELD Fireside Chat was held Sunday Sun-day evening after Sacrament meeting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Powell. Loene Powell Pow-ell took charge. President James Bacon, of the Indian Mission, was the speaker. Light refreshments were served ser-ved to a group of twenty-six... . SCOUTS ATTEND CAMP Harvey Adams, Scoutmaster, and Connell Parry, Explorer leader, accompanied the Scouts and Explorers from Montwel on the four-stake Scout Jamboree, held in Uinta Canyon Thursday, Friday and Saturday. May 28, 29 and 30. The Scouts and Explorers from here that went were: Lars Powell, Jerry Parry, Jimmy Shaw, Cecil Johnson, Duane and Kent Boren, Dee Adams, Randy Nelson and Dennis Larsen. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Larsen and girls, of Murray, Utah, visited Mr. and Mrs. Max Nelson over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Blanchard and family are visiting relatives at Lova, Wyoming. Mrs. Beth Brown spent a few days this week in the Roosevelt Roos-evelt Hospital where she received re-ceived medical care. Dan Pace's mother, Mrs. Min nie Pace, of Santa Monica, California, Cal-ifornia, visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Pace and family, Sunday. Robina Ferguson, of Moffitt, and her sister, Mary Garlic, of Boise. Idaho, visited Mr. and Mrs. William Blanchard last week. Mr. and Mrs. Bry Roberts and daughter, Mary Jane, of Pleasant Plea-sant Grove, visited friends and relatives here over the weekend. Mrs. Esther Ladue, of Orem, visited Friday with Mr. and Mrs. James Powell and family. Lester Blanchard and his son, of Bountiful, visited friends and relatives Saturday. Verlin Gagon and Dale Gag-on, Gag-on, of Fort Lewis, Washington, are visiting for a few days with Mr. and Mrs. William Blanchard. |
