Show Carter Oil Wins Safety Award Among Companies First place award for the best safety record among 13 oil companies com-panies in the National Safety Council competition has been won by the Marketing Department Depart-ment of The Carter Oil Co., C. D. Hill, Denver, Marketing Department De-partment manager, has been advised ad-vised by Ned H. Dearborn, Chicago, Chi-cago, president of the Council. In extending "heartiest congratulations con-gratulations of the Council" to Carter, Dearborn said Carter's 248 marketing employees in nine northwestern states had no lost time accidents in 1952. Hill added these workers have experienced ex-perienced only nine such accidents acci-dents since the company began marketing operations in 1944. Formal presentation of the award will 'be made ttf Hill by safety council representatives. J. M. Ivy, Carter Safety Director, Direc-tor, emphasized the award covers cov-ers personnel who drive gasoline transport trucks and who handle millions of gasolines and fuels annually. |
