Show Couple Weds In Home Rites; Reception Held Impressive in its simplicity and graciousness was the lovely home wedding which united in marriage Miss Edith Hardinger and Fred Amundson, Friday, May 29, at 8 p.m. at the home of the bride's brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George H. Hardinger. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. George M. Hardinger, and the groom is the' son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Amundson, Am-undson, of Barron, Wisconsin. In a bridal setting the popular popu-lar young couple exchanged marriage vows in a ceremony performed by Bishop R. V. Larson, Lar-son, of the Roosevelt LDS ward. Immediately following the ceremony the justweds were complimented at a reception and dance at the Roosevelt stake house, where the bride greeted guests in her wedding gown of heavy white satin, entrain, styled with a tight bodice and full gathered skirt. The neckline neck-line featured a lace and pearl Peter Pan collar, with tiny satin covered buttons fastening the bodice to the waistline. The long tapering sleeves were also designed de-signed with a row of satin-covered buttons. A lace and seed pearl tiara held her fingertip veil of bride's illusion and she carried a bouquet of twenty-four red roses and stephonatis with rolled white velvet streamers. In the receiving line with the bride and groom were the bride's parents, and her attendants, atten-dants, including Miss Eva Sprouse, who wore a formal gown of pink net and lace; Miss Maxine Winkler, attired in blue lace and net ballerina frock; and Miss Ruth Mills, who chose a pale blue net, also ballerina length. All had nosegays of red roses tied with white streamers. Matron of honor was Mrs. Charles Little, of Salt Lake City. Performing best man duties was Rollin Buchanan. In charge of the gift room were Misses Yvonne Fretwell, Carol Patry, Doloris Brown and Leah Duncan. Gifts were received re-ceived by Miss Patsy Duncan, and the signing of the guest book was under the direction of Mrs. Betty Sorrells. Refreshments were in charge of Mrs. Rollin Buchanan, assisted assist-ed by Miss Carole Todd and Miss Nadine Ottosen. The table carried out a pink and green color scheme and was centered with a beautiful three-tiered pink and white wedding cake adorned with roses and wedding bells in delicate shades of pink, and white swans at the base. A miniature bride and groom topped top-ped the attractive cake. Pale pink tapers in crystal candle-abra candle-abra completed the picture. During the reception entertainment enter-tainment was furnished by the following: Maxine and Pauline Winkler, vocal duet, accompanied accompan-ied by Afton Smithson; Renae Eldredge, reading; Laura Ann Leavitt, piano solo'; Mrs. Alma Wills, violin solo, accompanied by Mrs. R. V. Larson; Janice Anderton and LeeRae Drollin-ger, Drollin-ger, vocal duet, accompanied by Miss Joann Todd; Mrs. Norman Murphy, mistress of ceremonies, a tribute to the newlyweds. Dancing was enjoyed to Smith's orchestra. The young couple left to enjoy, en-joy, a honeymoon trip to Barron, Bar-ron, Wisconsin, where they will visit relatives of the groom. Upon Up-on their return they will be at home to their many friends in their new duplex apartment. For her going-away outfit the bride chose a navy and white summer suit with white accessories. |
