Show Miss Linda Fay Orahood, eleven-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Orahood, arrived in Roosevelt on May 25th from Galion, Ohio, to join her parents,' par-ents,' who are living in Roosevelt Roose-velt while Mr. Orahood is installing in-stalling R.E.A. telephones. Salt Lake City visitors over the Memorial Day weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Theron Lea-vitt Lea-vitt and family. Aria Dickerson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wes Dickerson, and Janet Stevens, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Orson Stevens, left last Sunday for Zion Nation, al Park, where they will be employed during the summer months. Another Roosevelt teenager, teen-ager, Carl Murray, is also employed em-ployed at Zions. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Haddock and son visited here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lou Had--. dock, enroute to a Navy as-) as-) signment in Norfolk, Va. Lou Haddock went to Salt Lake City, Monday, to meet his daughter, Leta, who has spent the past year attending college in Phoenix, Arizona. Leta will spend the summer here with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Curt Parnell and son, Don, left Sunday to make their home in Rawlings, Wyoming. The Parnells have been residents of Roosevelt for the past year and a half. Mr. Parnell is Party Chief for United Unit-ed Geophysical Oil Co. Val and Larry Labrum, Carol Vay and Larry Labrum, Carol Lynn and Julie Cook to Salt Lake City, Tuesday, to see the Coronation of Queen Elizeabeth on television. Homer Cook, who has spent the past week visiting relatives in Salt Lake, returned to Roosevelt with them. Mr. and Mrs. Will Oberhans-ley, Oberhans-ley, and Gary Rhodes, of Neola, and Burke Eldredge motored to Richmond, Calif, last week to visit relatives and get Burke's mother, Mrs. Elmer Eldredge, who had been visiting there. The group enjoyed a trip to Portland and other parts of Oregon, Ore-gon, and along the coast before returning home. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bow-den, Bow-den, of Salt i Lake City, and Mrs. Maud Heal and her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James Heal, and Mr. and Mrs. Elda Peadlock, all of Provo, and Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Jensen, of Randlett,' spent the Memorial Day weekend as guests of Mrs. Annie C. Bowden, of Hancock Cove. Mrs. Bell Reef returned to her home in Salt Lake City af ter spending the past weeK visiting vis-iting her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Marvell Neil-son. Neil-son. Jackie and Beverly Neilson returned to Salt Lake to spend a 2-week' visit with their grandmother. grand-mother. J. D. Walker, who is employed employ-ed at Montecello. spent the Memorial Day holiday with his wife. The Walkers' son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Walker, of Wyoming, were also guests at the Walker residence. Mrs. Eva Ashton and son, Stewart, were Roosevelt visitors Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. DeVoe Lambert, of Logan, are visiting with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Lambert. Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Schmiett were Salt Lake City visitors over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Malin and son, Doug, motored to Provo Pro-vo over the Memorial Day weekend. ! Mrs. Catherine Watkins and : grandson, Lynn Valentine, ol 'Logan, are visiting this week ! with her daughter and son-in- law, Mr. and Mrs. Phil Pack and family. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Poulson and daughters spent the weekend week-end visiting friends and relatives rela-tives in Mt. Pleasant. Mr. and Mrs. Marion A. Smith of Los Angeles, Calif., are visiting visit-ing this week with his sisters, Mrs. Ira Gagon, Mrs. Clarence Lambert and Mrs. Arthur Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Oldroyd and family spent the weekend in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Nelson and family, from Bingham, were Roosevelt viistors at the home of Mrs. Homer P. Edwards last Saturday and Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrell Jensen and sons spent Memorial Day in Fountain Green. Mrs. Themis Costuros is in the Holy Cross Hospital where she was taken last week to undergo un-dergo an operation. The Wesley Dickerson family spent Memorial Day in Provo. Mr. and Mrs. John Swenson , and family motored to Spring-ville Spring-ville over the Memorial Day weekend to visit relatives. Mr. Swenson returned home Sunday while Mrs. Swenson and children chil-dren remained in Springville for a longer visit. |
