Show State Accepts Big 3 National Award Programs For '53 The Big 3 of the National 4-H Awards Programs -- Achievement, Achieve-ment, Citizenship, and Leadership Leader-ship offering 18 college scholarships schol-arships valued at $5,100, have S been accepted by the" State Ex-i Ex-i tension Service for the current year. ! In each program the highest rating boy and girl are also awarded all-expense trips to I both the National 4-H Club Cons' Con-s' gress in Chicago in November, 1953, and to Washington, D. C, for National 4-H Club Week in ' March; 1954. The award donors are: Achievement, Ford Motor Co.; , 1 Citizenship, in honor of Tho's. E. Wilson, and Leadership, Edward Ed-ward Foss Wilson. The 6 Wash-i ington trips are provided by the Conrad Hilton Hotel, of Chicago. Other incentives for all-around achievement in 4-H activities are 16 trips to the Chicago Congress, miniature statutes for two state winners and four medals for county winners. The Leadership program provides 8 trips to the Congress, gold watches to two state winners and two medals for county winners. County Extension Agents will furnish complete information on these programs. |
