All methods of weed control were discussed and recommendations recommenda-tions received for our 1951 program. pro-gram. Information on the poisonous weed "Helogeton" was presented present-ed and colored pictures of it shown. Everyone should learn to identify this weed and cooperate coop-erate by reporting if it is found. A few weeks ago, we urged you to cooperate with us in a campaign to help get rid of sparrows. Many responded by coming in and obtaining poison grain. The next few weeks is an excellent time to control these pests. Poison grain is still available. Prairie dogs have been observed, ob-served, which means that they are starting to come out of hibernation. hi-bernation. These rodents are destroying- thousands of dollars worth of crops each year. They can easily be controlled through the use of poison grain. This is available at the county court house in Duchesne, at my office in Roosevelt, and at most of the j community stores. |
